The sound of silence for a couple of weeks….
After our busiest period for a long time, it’s time to put our feet up for a couple of weeks and prepare for the Big Country gig in Gloucester.
October has flown by – following on from an excellent night in Cheltenham at the Frog and Fiddle with The Members and Rebel Station, we embarked on the long journey to deepest Essex and The Railway Hotel in Southend on Sea.
The Railway is an amazing venue steeped in over 50 years of musical history. The shabbiest and chic-est of places it’s everything you need from a great gig venue, friendly punters, great staff a DJ in a pulpit playing complete albums on vinyl, The B52’s self-titled debut album has never sounded so good!
As the only band on the bill in the downstairs bar, we were allowed the freedom to play a full one hour and fifteen minutes – giving us the chance to showcase all our new material and also indulge in our back catalogue; including Chill Pill, Frank, Growing Up and Trinity. New songs Take Me Down, Helicopter Seed and Useless currently stealing the show.
Massive thanks to Craig for making the journey from London and to everyone else who took the time to watch us, thank you, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and we’ll see you again soon!
Decibel Overload I hear you ask? 113 DB last night – apparently louder than an Iron Maiden tribute band!
See you n Gloucester, 22 Nov, supporting Big Country.
’til then, Take it Easy
